Abstract
Poverty is a global problem that continues to be a challenge,
including in Kabupaten Bandung, which has the largest number of poor people,
at 258.61 thousand. Tenjolaya Village in Pasirjambu Sub-district is one of the
areas with a high poverty rate. The Family Hope Program (PKH) aims to help
poor families meet their basic needs. This research focuses on the impact of PKH
on meeting the needs of Beneficiary Families (KPM) in Tenjolaya Village, using
qualitative research methods with a descriptive approach. The results show
that PKH has a positive impact in fulfilling primary (food, shelter, education,
health), secondary (household furniture, electronic devices), and tertiary
(vehicles, communication devices) needs. However, there are also negative
impacts such as dependence on assistance, misuse of funds, lack of initiative,
and insufficient assistance. The main problem found in this study is the lack of
monitoring of the use of PKH assistance. Researchers propose the “BAIK
(Information Acceleration Assistance for PKH Recipient Families)” program
using the community development (CD) method. This program aims to improve
the effectiveness of assistance and overcome the negative impacts.
