LAYANAN KONSELING TERHADAP ANAK KORBAN KEKERASAN SEKSUAL DI LEMBAGA KONSULTASI KESEJAHTERAAN KELUARGA (LK3) KOTA TASIKMALAYA

Abstract

Social support refers to the provision of assistance, both in material

and non-material forms (emotional, informational, and esteem support), from

individuals who care and have affection for someone, and it benefits the

individual. Those conditions motivated them to function well socially in their

lives. This study aimed to obtain an in-depth understanding of: 1) informant

characteristics, 2) emotional support for Children in conflict with the Law, 3)

esteem support for Children in conflict with the Law, 4) instrumental support

for Children in conflict with the Law, and 5) informational support for Children

in conflict with the Law. This research used a descriptive qualitative method.

The informants for this study numbered three individuals, selected through a

purposive sampling technique. The data collection techniques used were: 1) in

depth interviews, 2) observation, and 3) documentary study. The data sources

for this research included primary data from family heads and secondary data

from social workers, as well as documentation or other information. The

validity of the data was examined through credibility testing, involving diligent

observation, triangulation, reference adequacy, and dependability testing. The

research results indicated that families were still insufficient in providing social

support to Children in conflict with the Law, particularly in terms of emotional,

esteem, and informational aspects, although instrumental support was

relatively good. Families lacked knowledge about the appropriate ways to

provide understanding and knowledge to Children in conflict with the Law, and

they also showed a lack of attention, as family visits to the Sentra were

infrequent due to busy work schedules, which significantly impacted emotional

instability in implementing social rehabilitation. Based on these issues, the

researcher proposed a program to enhance family social support for Children

in conflict with the Law at Sentra Handayani Jakarta to improve social support

provided by families to Children in conflict with the Law .
