Abstract
Funding is one of the main factors for the balance and sustainability of social service organizations carrying out service processes as well as achieving goals that can be achieved by fundraising activities. The purpose of this study is to describe in depth the fundraising strategy carried out by Karawang Peduli. This study used a qualitative descriptive method. Data collection techniques used are in depth interviews, participatory observations, and documentation studies. Data analysis is carried out by data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results of this study suggest that the fundraising strategy carried out by Karawang Peduli is to implement a dialogue fundraising strategy using visits, raising donations on the street, open stands, and kencleng. The multichannel fundraising strategy utilizes several channels such as websites and social media which are carried out using online fundraising, crowdfunding, and community fundraising. And finally, Karawang Peduli implements a donor retention and development strategy based on aspects of trust and commitment as well as service quality which is implemented by providing routine reports, conducting evaluations, information collection, ease of payment, giving remarks or appreciation and borrowing inventory owned by Karawang Peduli. However, the implementation of the fundraising strategy still has obstacles, namely related to the lack of competence of fundraising staff, causing Karawang Peduli to not carry out a corporate fundraising strategy with the company and still not the optimal implementation of the multichannel fundraising strategy, especially for crowdfunding mode. Thus, the researcher suggested a competency training program for Karawang Peduli fundraising staff to maximize the fundraising activities that will be carried out.
